Established March 9, 1948 for the purpose of buying and selling marine products with capital of 5,000,000 yen.
1948
Start business at Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo (inner market).
1953
Acquired goodwill of Tokyo Gyorui Co., Ltd.
1954
Established Tsukiji Shokuhin Co., Ltd. for store sales at department stores, supermarkets, etc.
1957
Established Hachioji Uoichiba Co., Ltd. for wholesale of fresh processed marine products at regional wholesale market in Hachioji city.
1961
Acquired Kyodosuisan Co., Ltd., which sells fresh and processed marine products to hotels and restaurants.
1962
Construction of cold storage plant (capacity of 4,362t) inside the market was completed for cold-storage service.
1963
Established Hachinohe Toichi Reizo Co., Ltd. for cold-storage service and purchasing and processing sales of marine products in Hachinohe city.
Publicly listed shares in the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1972
Established Toyomi Toichi Reizo Co., Ltd. for cold-storage service.
1973
Completion of Toyomi Toichi cold storage plant (capacity of 10,160t) at Toyomi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo for cold-storage service.
2006
Established Toichi Fresh Co., Ltd. for processing and sales of marine products.
Liquidated Hachinohe Toichi Reizo Co., Ltd.
2007
Kyodosuisan Co., Ltd. and Tsukiji Shokuhin Co., Ltd. merged to start business as Kyodosuisan Co., Ltd.
Established Toichi Tsukiji Fish(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. for selling marine products to China in Shanghai, China.
2011
Hachioji Uoichiba Co., Ltd. established Uotaku Co., Ltd. for sushi delivery around Hachioji.
2012
Business suspension of Toichi Fresh Co., Ltd.
New management plan “Toichi Action-Plan” started.
2013
Established Kitashoku Co., Ltd. for processing and selling of marine products.
Merged with Hachioji Uoichiba Co., Ltd.
Liquidated Toichi Fresh Co., Ltd.
2014
New management plan = CHALLENGE-2020 “Phase I” started.
2015
Established Toichi Logistics Co., Ltd. for cold-storage service at the new Toyosu wholesale market.
Kyodosuisan Co., Ltd. obtained both MSC and ASC CoC certification.
Tsukiji Uoichiba Co., Ltd. obtained both MSC and ASC CoC certification.
2016
New management plan = CHALLENGE-2020 “Phase II” started.
Kitashoku Co., Ltd. obtained both MSC and ASC CoC certification.
Consistent supply system of certified items within the Toichi group, from purchase, storage, processing, and delivery is established.
Kyodosuisan Co., Ltd. acquired 100%shares of Tsukiji Ichikawa Suisan Co., Ltd., an intermediate wholesaler in the Tsukiji market.

Liquidated Uotaku Co., Ltd.
2018
Changed the head office location to 6-2, Toyosu 6-chome, Koto-ku, Tokyo, due to the Tokyo central wholesale market relocation.
